As a young
child, Ben Fuller moved around often, and in these new
surroundings he would find solace at night listening to
his brother play guitar. Whether it was through osmosis or
shared family talent, Ben grew up to become a self-taught
guitar player and singer/songwriter with a passion for
travel.
Beginning in his
late teens, Ben started to create music that translated
into a soundtrack of his life - from exploring the African
continent, to traveling the U.S. in a dilapidated school
bus, to living in tree-houses in Alaska. And sprinkled
among those soul searching adventures were also
experiences of the everyman; these too helped shape him
into the artist he is today.
Using his life
as a backdrop to creative expression, Ben’s music tells a
story. His songs are an oral timeline; inspirations from
places he has been and the people he meets along the way.
Through these travels, he met his wife who became a
lyrical muse to the cache of music in his head. Together
they have formed a synergy that has brought new dimension
to Ben’s sound.
Likened to a
young Bob Dylan (before the wear and tear of time), Ben’s
voice is distinct. And while his melodic cadence and
lyrics have the magnetic pull of Bob Marley, his is a
refreshing new sound that pulls together the distinct
elements of past and present artists that have made their
way into musical history.
